Data Requirements
Captures data entities, sources, transformations, and quality requirements. Essential for data migration or reporting projects.
AI in this module
How AI suggestions work
Click "Get AI Suggestions" to have the AI draft or improve the table in one pass, grounded in the DRP's other content and any AI Knowledgebase documents.
The AI will never invent a Classification it can't ground — if the DRP doesn't establish one for an entity, expect that cell to be left blank rather than guessed.
Quality checks
What "Check Quality" looks for here
Classification matches reality. Flags personal or financial data marked "Public" or "Internal" instead of a real sensitivity level, a classification that looks defaulted rather than considered, and any entity missing a Source System.
What it captures
Data entities, their source systems, and classification the project depends on.
Using this module
This module is a single table: one row per data entity, with a Description of the entity itself, its Source System, and a Classification (Public/Internal/Confidential/Restricted).
- 1Use "+ Add row" to add a data entity, and the ✕ on a row to remove one.
- 2Set Classification honestly — this often feeds directly into security and compliance review, so don't default everything to "Internal" without checking.
Review and approval
Reviewed as a whole, when its review level is Module-level: its reviewers and approver cover the entire data entity table, assigned from the project's Modules tab, or overridden on this DRP's Review Assignments tab. Once submitted it is read-only; to change it, press "Reopen to edit", which cancels the round and returns it to In progress.
Tips
- "Export CSV", at the top of the page, downloads this table as a spreadsheet file — handy for sharing it with someone who works in Excel.
- Essential for data migration or reporting projects — capture data lineage and quality expectations here rather than scattering them across individual requirements.
