Audit Log

A searchable, exportable record of who did what, and when — review decisions, people and permission changes, share links and billing.

What's recorded

The audit log is a governance trail for compliance or investigation. It records:

  • Review and sign-off — sections and whole versions submitted, reviewed, approved, rejected or reopened; reviewers removed; review switched off automatically; comments on sections; and a Lead Analyst removing somebody else's comment on a version, with the text it held.
  • People and permissions — users added, their workspace roles or status changed, invitations and password reset links sent, a password set by an admin; people added to or removed from a project team, or their project roles changed.
  • Share links — created, stopped by hand, or switched off automatically when a version is voided or replaced.
  • Projects and the workspace — projects created, renamed, branding and modules changed; module add-ons, the AI key, upgrade requests and reference data.
  • Billing — plan and seat changes, cancellations scheduled or undone, and modules bought. A change Stripe applied on its own (for example a subscription ending) shows "Stripe" as who did it.
  • Refused sign-ins — the email typed, why it was refused, and the IP address and browser it came from. Shown as "Unknown person", because the attempt may not have been the account holder.

Editing the content of a section — Solution Scope, Requirements, User Stories, a RAID table and so on — is not recorded, so every section is treated the same. What is recorded is its journey through review. Entries are kept indefinitely.

The Audit Log requires the Standard plan or above.

Who sees what

  • Workspace Admin — every entry, including billing, workspace settings, the AI key and refused sign-ins.
  • Lead Analyst — entries about the projects they're on, plus changes to people and reference data. Not billing, workspace settings, the AI key or refused sign-ins.
  • Analyst — entries about the projects they're on.
  • Reviewer and Approver — no Audit Log page.

Searching, filtering and exporting

Search by person, email or record ID, and combine it with a record filter, an action filter and a date range. Filters apply to the whole log you can see, not just the page on screen, and Previous / Next move through it 50 entries at a time.

Export CSV downloads every entry you can see that matches the current filters — up to 20,000 at a time; the page says so if there are more.
