The modern replacement for the BRD

What is a DRP?

A Digital Requirements Pack (DRP) is Requio's modern take on the traditional Business Requirements Document (BRD) — the single, governed document a project runs on: the structured record of what's being built, why, for whom, and how it will be judged done.

Where a BRD was usually a static document — scattered across emails, spreadsheets, and slide decks, and out of date the moment it shipped — a DRP brings business context, scope, stakeholders, processes, and acceptance criteria into one place: authored module by module, reviewed and approved through a clear workflow, and versioned so nothing gets lost.

Once approved, a polished, fully formatted DRP is ready to share with stakeholders, delivery teams or external partners.

What's inside a DRP

A DRP is made up of modules — self-contained sections that together form the full pack. Here are some examples:

  • Business Objectives

Why the project exists and the measurable goals it must achieve.

  • Solution Scope

What is in and out of scope, to prevent scope creep.

  • Stakeholders & RACI

Who’s accountable, responsible, consulted, and informed.

  • Business Process

As-is and to-be workflows, mapped and visualized.

  • Requirements

Atomic, testable requirements tied to clear acceptance criteria.

  • Traceability Matrix

Every requirement linked back to an objective, end to end.
